Over Empatherapy

Empatherapy is a company with a different approach to mental health, that explores symptoms - rather than suppressing them - and treats them as another informative and complex part of the individual. Fixing is not our goal. We don't believe there are good or bad traits, just different expressions of our inner world; some are harmful, confusing, sabotaging and it should be everyone's right to get the support needed to make sense of them. We believe that when we make sense of things, and we abandon the black-and-white thinking that convinced us there is normal and abnormal, functional and dysfunctional, then comes healing. And there is no more need to erase the symptom, because we will have understood why it was there in the first place.

Empatherapy wants to promote awareness, the power of ambivalence, the surrender to the uncontrollable and the irreducible complexity of existing.
