Over Elaa Beirut

Elaa Beirut is an international group of mental healthcare professionals and public health researchers.

Our mission is to provide free access to online mental healthcare for people in Lebanon dealing with the trauma of the ongoing political, health, and economic crises in Lebanon. Our charity was founded soon after the Beirut port explosion on August 4, 2020, and has continued to offer free mental healthcare to those impacted by explosions and the surrounding crises.

We believe in supporting the organisations already on the ground in Lebanon. We have witnessed the collective strength of Beirut’s activist community and their tireless work. Through Elaa Beirut, we aim to support Lebanon’s support network.

Our team of mental healthcare providers are all licensed therapists who are ready to provide free online psychological support to those in need in Lebanon.

We provide an inclusive service welcome to all. Our therapists have experience of working with people with a variety of backgrounds including differences in neurodevelopment, gender identity, sexuality (LGBTQ+), race, ethnicity, social status, amongst others.
