Over ECOP Netherlands Dutch Node

The ECOP Dutch Node aims to foster a motivated and inclusive community of Early Career Ocean Professionals (ECOPs) coming from the Netherlands (Caribbean and Europe) or situated in the Netherlands (addressed as the Dutch ECOPs). An ECOP is defined as a person with 10 years or less of professional experience in any field related to the ocean. This includes students, volunteers, and professionals from various sectors, celebrating the diversity of backgrounds and experiences.

Mission Our mission is to empower ECOPs by offering opportunities for networking, professional growth, and collaboration across sectors. We promote horizontal communication, where every voice matters, and encourage intergenerational collaboration with experienced ocean scientists, NGOs, industry, and academia.

Vision Our vision is to build an inclusive and collaborative network that amplifies ECOP voices, strengthens intergenerational connections, and promotes sustainable ocean stewardship. Together, we contribute to the global efforts for ocean sustainability.
