Dynamics and Vibration (DV) Research Unit is part of Engineering and Technology Institute Groningen (ENTEG) at the University of Groningen (RUG) which is recognized as one of the top 100 universities in the world. DV Unit conducts advanced research in different areas such as vibration engineering, structural dynamics, vibration control, energy harvesting, nonlinear and time-varying systems, structural health monitoring, and predictive maintenance. Our research focuses on understanding, modelling, predicting, and controlling the dynamic behaviour of engineering systems and structures. By combining theoretical developments, numerical simulations, experimental investigations, and data-driven approaches, we aim to improve the performance, reliability, safety, and sustainability of both existing and future engineering systems.
