Over Designistan

Designistan is a place for new initiatives in design: developing and curating content for education, media and events. Initiating new stories, projects, products, and models. We work from within the design world; an interconnected ecology made up of different disciplines, views and talents. We see design as an idea more than a thing. We see design less like expensive collectables and more like clever ideas and methods by/for/with everyone in everyday life. We believe design manifests itself all across the globe in a mind-blowing range of diversity, in creative forms by designers and non-designers alike, and that cultural exchange is a necessity for informed minds. Designistan zooms in and out between the bigger perspective and activity on the ground. It creates connections across the design ecology, towards every day life, creating new initiatives, promoting exchange and discussion, and hopefully, designing the industry forward.
