De Nieuwe Anita is a vibrant space where artists of all backgrounds and disciplines can pursue their dreams. It serves as an intimate platform for emerging and touring musicians, try-outs, stand-up comedians, film screenings, literary nights, and lectures. With its warm ambiance and appreciative audience, it has become a creative hub for diverse artistic expressions.

While we maintain an alternative profile, De Nieuwe Anita is a renowned venue recognized both locally and beyond.

In an era where small, independent spaces like ours are disappearing, we find it increasingly important to remain active and innovative.

Our journey began in 2001 with underground parties in the back area. In 2005, we expanded by renting the front bar, allowing us to host a wider variety of events, both large and small, on a more frequent basis.

Our mission is to provide a safe and inclusive space for everyone—musicians, artists, and visitors alike—regardless of nationality, gender, or background. De Nieuwe Anita is a haven for creativity and community.
