Established in January 2014, Darwin Depositary Services is acting as an independent depositary for Alternative Investment Funds and UCITS funds.

Darwin Depositary Services renders depositary services, both full and ‘lite’, to all types of Alternative Investment Funds and UCITS funds established in the Netherlands or outside the EU, including hedge funds, real estate funds, funds investing in wind farms and infrastructure, debt funds and private equity funds. To date Darwin Depositary Services is acting as depositary for over 45 funds.

Darwin Depositary Services is offering the full range of depositary services required under the AIFMD and UCITS V legislation for all funds within the scope of these Directives. The main tasks of a depositary stem from the following three duties:

• Cash flow monitoring • Safekeeping duties • Oversight duties

Darwin Depositary Services is founded and led by a team of managers with extensive experience in the financial industry.
