Over Corporate Governance Summer School

Since 2016, a team of researchers from the Faculty of Business and Economics has been organising a Summer School focused on Corporate Governance and the effectiveness of boards. The focus of this summer school may also be of interest to you.

The Summer school provides a one-week intensive, interdisciplinary program in which participants learn how to critically evaluate governance research, how to apply theories and research methodologies and how to use the findings from such research in order to identify new research topics.

In particular, the aim of the Summer School is to provide participants with in-depth knowledge of how the determinants and outcomes of corporate governance arrangements have been measured and studied in the academic literature, allowing them to critically evaluate governance research.

The Summer School will take place from 6-10 July 2026, and is designed for PhDs, Postdocs, academic staff members, research master students, and practitioners with relevant academic background. The Summer School will take place in person in Groningen. Deadline to apply is April 1st for financial support, the regular deadline is May 15th!
