Through writing and photography, Claudia Crobatia (1984, the Netherlands) explores the relations between the autobiographical and the transpersonal. Changing her subjects into herself and vice versa, her work can be described as a professional exercise in shapeshifting. With symbolism, both the common and the occult, as her favorite language, she translates her visions into contemporary portraits with a magic realistic approach.
