How does a user think or feel about an app, website, software or game? What makes the use and experience valuable? Is navigating simple and easy? These are questions amongst many others that intrigue me.

After having worked in healthcare and related fields (surgical assistant, physiotherapy, coaching), I started building websites a few years ago. Initially I started with WordPress and Elementor. Later, because of my interest in the more technical side of things, I also learned to use html, css, javascript and react to a certain level.

Questions as mentioned above, the versatility of this profession, the different kinds of knowledge and insights that are needed to create something beautiful and useful, are the reasons why I finally made the switch to UX design. What adds an extra dimension for me is that certain skills I learned in the past through study and work experience can, in one way or another, also be applied in this profession. Think of interpersonal and analytical skills, research etc.

The best thing about UX design? It is a field that is always evolving and that is why you never stop learning!
