Bonaire Bon Transition B.V. (BBT) ensures the safe storage of fuels and contributes to the transition to sustainable energy on the island Bonaire.

Founded by the Dutch Ministry of Economic Affairs and Climate, BBT now falls under the responsibility of the Ministry of Climate Policy and Green Growth. Our mission is to ensure that Bonaire has sufficient energy – energy for working, living, and enjoying life.

BBT provides Bonaire with energy by ensuring the safe delivery and storage of necessary fuels and by contributing to the transition to sustainable energy, generated by the sun and wind. By reducing dependence on a single energy source, we increase the stability of the entire energy system.

To achieve this, BBT collaborates closely with organizations on Bonaire, such as the local government, ContourGlobal, WEB and Curoil. Together, we work towards an energy supply that is not only safe and reliable but also capable of growing with the island's future.
