Over Berben Design

We are Rogier & Cheryl: two music and wood enthusiasts that love to design en create unique and sustainable products. Partners in business since 2021 and in life since 2017. We are a small business dedicated to crafting high-quality products specifically designed for musicians and all other lovers of music.

In 2014, Rogier Berben (a drummer by origin) got serious about his ideas to blend his passion for music and woodworking. He established Berben Design, where old drums would find new life as unique clocks, lamps, and tables. Initially operating from his father's garage, the business soon outgrew the space, prompting a move to its very own workshop. Throughout the years, Berben Design has worked tirelessly to establish and expand the company. In 2021 Cheryl officially joined the company, and this move transformed Berben Design into a two-person operation.

Our products are all crafted with care in our very own workshop, which we've built inside an old factory building in Tilburg (The Netherlands). Since 2018, this workshop has been our home base. Over the years, our space has slowly expanded and we have accumulated a collection of valuable tools and machines, like our lasercutter. We are part of Ateliers013: a small but wonderful community of several talented creatives, all together under the roof of that old factory house.

At our core, we are dedicated to crafting one-of-a-kind products that resonate with musicians and music lovers alike. We strive for perfection in every piece we create. But our passion for innovation doesn't stop there. We are also deeply committed to sustainability, using materials as responsibly sourced as possible and minimizing our carbon footprint. In our workshop nothing goes to waste, every bit of wood and material is put to use.
