The Belt of Somali Women is a powerful platform led by Somali Women, dedicated to promoting and advocating for action against gender-based violence, with a focus on ending Female Genital Mutilation/Cutting (FGM/C).

The platform aims to unite communities, survivors, civil society organizations, activists, stakeholders, role models, decision-makers, and experts in the fight against gender-based violence.

The Belt of Somali Women will canalise and mobilize the efforts of Somali diaspora communities in Europe and elsewhere, advocating for social change addressing inequalities, empowering women and girls.
