Over Art Studio Helene

I am Helene van der Laag, owner and creative force behind Art Studio Helene.

And I am proud to be a self taught surface pattern designer. In a relative short period of time I managed to be represented by an agent, license my designs and collaborate with a very hot Dutch brand in men’s shirts: BBChum.nl

Colour(combinations) is ‘my thing’. And so are compositions. What I want to achieve in a design is a perfect balance that pleases the eye and adds beauty to the products they are on.

And in such a balance there is always room for bold colours. There maybe 50 shades of grey, but why not make a statement with colours and stand out? In my world life is too short to not fully live it, enjoy it, be happy. My designs make me happy and all I want is to make you part of it, to let you enjoy it too.

I really love the fact that I am able to be creative, it makes my heart sing. The whole journey from getting inspired to the actual design is……the best!
