Art of Transition is a non-profit that initiatiates projects that help strenghten the web of transformative social innovation.

In our vision a fair and just and sustainable society can only be the result of an deep and wide-ranging cultural learning process.

Our key focus is on showing the importance of community building and local resilience as central and indispensable elements for finding solutions for the major challenges of our time. The local and community level offer the possibility for engaging with each other on issues that matter, so that the lost skills of civic life can be regained. By taking care of each other, entering into dialogue and discussion, working on shared projects and developing a common vision for a place, people have a chance to learn how to navigate their differences and take joint responsibility for the long-term health of their villages, neighborhoods and towns.
