Over Aquius

Aquius collaborates with innovative companies, knowledge institutes, NGO’s and public authorities to ensure the availability and sustainable management of water and sanitation. To achieve this, a major effort is needed on all fronts, working on technological and knowledge development, innovative management, monitoring and maintenance techniques, as well as the development of feasible business cases, capacity building and finance.

Aquius invests in academic spin-offs and startups as well as growth phase companies and works in partnership with the European Crowdfinancing platform Invesdor in funding rounds that are open to both private and institutional investors, to support innovative ideas and business opportunities in the field of sustainable water management and technology.

Aquius works with companies that contribute to the Sustainable Development Goals with a special focus on SDG 6 about Clean Water and Sanitation and SDG 13 on Climate Action.

Equity and debt investments (usually in the form of convertible loans) typically range from € 500,000.- to € 5,000,000.- though bigger tickets can often be facilitated by pooling resources with other Private Equity Investors.

Aquius focusses on companies based in the European Union with a technology that is at Technology Readiness Level 7 or higher.
