Liquid cargo contamination is an almost inevitable element in the logistic chain. Even the slightest pollution may render the product off-specification. Quite often a storage terminal, like your good selves, will be one of the first who is determining the deviation in quality of the product. In your contacts with your customer the question may arise, “what mitigation measures can be taken in order to rectify the off-spec parcel?” As you probably know, most common solutions are; selling as is, blending with sound products, or reconditioning by distillation. However; if the contaminant is slight (in terms of PPM) or a matter of particles, color, odor, or water content, reprocessing by filtering will certainly be the fastest, easiest and most cost-effective way to rectify the product.
