Over Amigos Project

Amigos Project connects children in the Netherlands with children in Uganda and Tanzania through technology to foster empathy, challenge stereotypes, and nurture global citizenship. 🌍💻

The project creates immersive, theme-based intercultural learning experiences for students aged 10–12, giving them the opportunity to explore, share, and celebrate each other’s cultures. Participants engage in collaborative projects, virtual cultural showcases, and guided discussions, building communication, social-emotional skills, and a deeper understanding of diversity.

Our mission is to bridge geographical and cultural gaps, helping students develop meaningful friendships and a sense of global community. By combining education, technology, and experiential learning, the Amigos Project empowers young learners to become empathetic, open-minded global citizens capable of navigating an interconnected world.

Through these exchanges, schools, teachers, and students gain richer learning experiences while contributing to a more inclusive, collaborative, and connected international community.
