Acme Studios is the home of the Acme Type Machine Company, Europe's premiere restorer's of vintage typewriters. Our typewriters are used by writers and creators, and appreciated by collectors, historians and typewriter enthusiasts around the world. For over a decade, we have specialized in restoring and reconditioning vintage typewriters, bringing these remarkable machines back to full working order. Each typewriter is carefully inspected, repaired, and cleaned, preserving both its functionality and its original character. We handle everything from mechanical restoration to aesthetic refinishing, ensuring that every machine leaving our workshop is ready to be used and cherished. Our focus is on quality, authenticity, and attention to detail, so that each typewriter is more than just a collectible—it’s a working tool for writers, artists, and enthusiasts.

Beyond restoration, we provide education and guidance for the next generation of craftsmen. We take on apprentices and trainees to teach the specialized skills of typewriter repair, helping to preserve a rare technical craft. At the same time, we make typewriters accessible to the community through services, low-cost rentals, and donations to students and creatives. By combining mechanical expertise with cultural preservation, we ensure that the legacy of these iconic machines continues to inspire and serve both practical and creative purposes today.
